Plan for an accessory (or two!) that will instantly activate your vacation style that you can wear with everything you’ve packed, a pair of woven slides or an earring made from a seashell. Plus, a shady hat – hello, cute sun protection – and a beach cover-up that can double as a lunch look. And of course, practical but cute, a raffia carryall for all of your beachy belongings plus your travel essentials and travel documents (if you are out shopping and want tax-free!). And while we’re at it, I’ll just mention that raffia or anything woven is the material of the summer and instantly turns any look into a holiday look.
Pair your summer whites with an easy, breezy sandal or a comfortable walking shoe. Best to choose a summer capsule shoe that you’ll love wearing with every item.

Blossoms & Bikinis

On the opposite end of the spectrum, summer calls for pops of color, mix ditsy print florals, mini dresses, swimwear and bikinis, plus mommy and me coordinating styles meant to wear on repeat, season after season.

Destination worthy swimwear is a must.. a major must! Take your pick between one-piece florals and simple triangle bikinis in mismatched shades and prints. And, in some cases, swimwear can even double as a dinner or going out look when paired with a skirt or a pant… that's the beauty of being away, traditional dressing rules need not apply when away.

Finish the look with a cute pair of sunnies and island-inspired jewelry like shell necklaces and beaded baubles that instantly transform your average summer dress or swimwear into memorable resort-ready looks.

And if you really want to take the theme and run with it, remember to pack summer travel essentials like a floral beach towel, a spacious beach bag, and floral cosmetic bags to pack all your personal care items and toiletries.

Denim & Cotton

A rotation of cotton and denim pieces in creams, whites, and neutrals is a packing must. Meant to easily mix and match, from minis to maxis, and even pants.

Whether you're inclined to wear airy maxi skirts with embellished corsets or you're more of a flattering A-line mini lace dress girly, consider packing a cropped denim jacket to be worn over the shoulders at air-conditioned restaurants or on nights when the temperatures drop.

Pora Pant

Bensley Dress

Ritson Skirt

And pants! Who knew? Pants are a vacation must. Consider airy cargo pants in lightweight colors and fabrics. As basic as it sounds, pair it with easy-beezy pants or maxi lace vintage-inspired skirts. Elevate your summer look with summer separates such as a seemingly simple tank top with a lace trim detail. Pro packing tip: Consider taking packing cubes to make sure you can fit all of the essentials and have room for any shopping you may do, especially for international travel.

Last but certainly not least, grab a cute raffia carry-all for the beach, day trips, and dinner out.
