"This dress came with defective fabric and was sewn terribly. It was even glued in some spots. Loveshackfancy is refusing despite multiple emails and photos to exchange the dress in black for another one in black. They agreed to give a discount for the initial repairs but when my expert and long term seamstress and I found additional repairs and explained to Loveshackfancy that the dress was defective from the start, Loveshackfancy stuck to a rigid policy. The company blamed me for hand washing it according to the instructions and said because I already had some of the dress repaired, I was responsible for the state of the dress. I have never had the chance to wear it and it was difficult to tell how badly damaged it was or I would have demanded a refund or replacement from the beginning. I have never dealt with a company that was unwilling to acknowledge its own responsibility on this level. I am stuck with a dress I might not ever be able to wear."

Defective and Badly Sewn Dress/Terrible
"My daughters and I have been loyal and enthusiastic customers for. years. I bought this Minka dress from Bloomingdales in white and then from the company directly in black. The dress in white was pretty decently sewn and I have had it shortened and already hand washed and worn. However, when the dress arrived in black, I found areas that were torn. Customer service agreed to give me a discount and I had the repairs fixed by an expert seamstress with whom I've worked with for years. I then hand washed it per the instructions. When I brought it back to my seamstress, we noticed more tears and turned it inside out and the seamstress pointed out that the fabric was defective and it was badly sewn and even glued in some areas and that it will keep ripping anytime it is washed. I even showed this to another friend who sews and she confirmed my concerns. When I explained this to customer service multiple times they blamed me for washing it and said they wouldn't exchange it despite how defective it is because I brought this to a third party to repair. I explained this trusted seamstress was the same third party who shortened the dress in white and that the dress in white which also could be hand washed without ripping. I am incredibly careful with my clothes and I've never dealt with a company that was so incapable of admitting that it had a badly made product. This happens from time to time and it is ok if a dress is defective as long as the company owns the mistake and fixes it. The irony is that Bloomingdales who just carries Lovesshackfancy would have exchanged the dress. I don't usually write reviews but I'm so disappointed in this company and don't want someone else to go through this. I will no longer be able to be a customer."

"I got this dress in black. The quality is amazing. It comes with a slip that is a good length. The dress material is really quality in texture, and density. I ordered a 10, which is my normal size. This review questionnaire says a 10 is an XL. . . that is not true. An XL is a 14 or 16. So it runs true to number size, but not true to letter sizing."

"Bought this dress for a family trip to Italy. Arrived well packed and presented . Above average Quality materials and construction in this dress . Fit in upper midriff and mid waist however runs seemingly a little larger than normal. Took in sides and darted for a more tailored fit and it received a lot of compliments . “ Dressy” , but not over done and quite comfortable to move and enjoy easy walks in without concern or restrictions in movement . . Also like that it launders well. No change to dress quality 👗 post wash. Good recommendation ."
